{"id":1509,"date":"2011-11-25T13:51:45","date_gmt":"2011-11-25T13:51:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bernatriera.es\/starting-up-a-business-in-uk-or-spain\/"},"modified":"2014-05-31T12:53:57","modified_gmt":"2014-05-31T12:53:57","slug":"starting-up-business-uk-spain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bernatriera.es\/en\/starting-up-business-uk-spain\/","title":{"rendered":"Starting up a business in UK or Spain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Comparisons are\u00a0odious.\u00a0Unless\u00a0one is willing\u00a0to\u00a0learn from those who\u00a0do it better.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I am currently\u00a0working on a\u00a0project to sell\u00a0online (<strong>E-Commerce<\/strong>)\u00a0that\u00a0I will uncover\u00a0later, butwhich represents the\u00a0start\u00a0of my first\u00a0business with a\u00a0rather serious\u00a0character, and\u00a0I intend to immerse myself\u00a0in everything that\u00a0entrepreneurs are so scared\u00a0for: the administrative bureaucracy.\u00a0Not to mention\u00a0the investment\u00a0and risk.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For every\u00a0idea or\u00a0business opportunity\u00a0that comes to my mind\u00a0or start, I try to\u00a0consider\u00a0as a learning experience\u00a0or as\u00a0a course,\u00a0where in\u00a0this case\u00a0I want to learn\u00a0the launching, marketing\u00a0and online commerce\u00a0at national\u00a0or international level ( we will\u00a0see how\u00a0the project evolves\u00a0), register\u00a0legally, paying\u00a0taxes,\u00a0dealing with suppliers, distributors andeverything that this\u00a0involves, totally unknown\u00a0to me.\u00a0No one\u00a0guarantee success,\u00a0nor do I pretend.\u00a0Just\u00a0more\u00a0knowledge for\u00a0the next business.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I had the\u00a0<strong>first\u00a0idea<\/strong>:\u00a0an online shop with\u00a0European or global\u00a0shop window, an e-commerce.\u00a0I do not invent\u00a0anything new, but\u00a0I want to use\u00a0my knowledge in\u00a0online\u00a0marketing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And I\u00a0had the <strong>first\u00a0question<\/strong>: Where\u00a0will be\u00a0the base, in\u00a0United\u00a0Kingdom (UK),\u00a0the countrywhere I live\u00a0today\u00a0or in Spain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then I start\u00a0to study\u00a0business\u00a0arrangements\u00a0with one or the\u00a0other,\u00a0to be self-employed\u00a0in Spain\u00a0or &#8220;<strong>Freelance<\/strong>&#8221;\u00a0in\u00a0UK.\u00a0I also study\u00a0its impact\u00a0at the international level\u00a0from a project inSpanish or\u00a0in English,\u00a0although\u00a0the\u00a0site is\u00a0bilingual.\u00a0Which\u00a0will give more\u00a0credibility tointernational customers?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I find that, and\u00a0correct me if\u00a0I&#8217;m wrong:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Self-employed in\u00a0<strong>Spain<\/strong>\u00a0involves costs about\u00a0<strong>240\u20ac <\/strong>per month.<\/li>\n<li>In\u00a0<strong>UK<\/strong>:\u00a0<strong>10\u00a0pounds\/month<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Undertake in\u00a0Spain involves start-up costs that,\u00a0in my\u00a0particular case, it takes me several months to\u00a0position the\u00a0Ecommerce\u00a0in\u00a0Google\u00a0and can\u00a0have visitors\u00a0and potential buyers.
