After many years of organizing and playing football or paddle matches, we realized how difficult it sometimes is to find enough players for it, or simply want to play with different people in order to improve your level either in Paddle, Football 7, Basket, Tennis, etc.

For this reason I thought of developing a web site where you solve this problem, a social network for Majorcan sportment to facilitate the meeting of players and the organization of matches. Also take advantage of Mallorca, where we all know and we are a community, and if not, why not see it as a good way to meet new people. I launched the site on July 1, 2011.

One page is a common facebook wall where you don’t need to register! (use your facebook or messenger account, and start posting: “I need one for a basketball game tomorrow!”, “We want to play against a new couple to paddle,” “We are 7 for a football game, any team dare us”. When your post receives any comments, you receive a notification on your facebook.

Version 2.0 of deportemallorca.es was always thinking about improvements for end users, sport persons in Mallorca, we redesigned the entire site for a more clear, simple and clean image, so that even is easy to use also in all smartphones (menu in a graphical display).

Also worked to be better positioned on Google, making some substantial improvements as the charging time, an important factor that may cause some users to leave even before it opens. Improve the response time from 3.5 seconds to 0.689 seconds.
